Khalub has been with Ben the Builder since 2015 and has over 15 years’ experience. He specializes in framing and tile. Khalub grew up locally and lives in Medford with his wife and children. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, camping, and remodeling his home.
John Pulley
builder
John has been with the company since 2018 and has almost 20 years’ experience. He is a strong leader and has quickly become an important member of the team. John brings with him a background of many years of construction experience and management in Southern California. He lives in Medford with his wife and daughter, enjoying completing home improvements and tending to his donkeys in his spare time.
Ryan Olson
builder
Ryan moved west to Oregon from Wisconsin in the year 2000 and joined Ben The Builder Inc in the spring of 2022. He has a passion for woodworking and several years of carpentry experience. Ryan loves learning new skills and having fun. He lives in Talent with his wife and son and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors and snowboarding.
Ronnie Nelsen
builder
Ronnie was born and raised in Southern Oregon and lives in Jacksonville with his family. He has had a passion for woodworking for as long as he can remember, and has been working formally as a carpenter for about 4 years, joining our team in 2025. Ronnie is also a musician, and in his spare time enjoys playing music with friends, woodworking, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Ben Treiger
owner, designer, and lead builder
Ben was born and raised in Ashland. He grew up around carpentry and fine woodworking, watching and learning from his father, Jay, who specialized in historic home restoration. Ben lived in Switzerland for some years, is a native Swiss-German speaker, and is a dual American and Swiss citizen.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis & Clark College and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Oregon University. Ben has worked in fine custom home construction since 2001, and enjoys all parts of the construction process from planning to completion. He is an excellent problem solver and can tackle any challenge with ease.
Ben lives in Ashland with his wife and children, and in his spare time he enjoys trail running, and backpacking and rafting with his kids.
Ben is a Certified Green Professional (CGP), a Certified Graduate Builder (CGB), and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
Ben Carson

Ben has been with Ben The Builder Inc since early 2022. He grew up in a woodworking family, where both his father and grandfather contributed to his love of carpentry. He framed houses while in college and owned his own renovation company for a number of years. He applies a well-rounded approach to any building or renovation project. Ben lives in Medford with his family and loves to spend time hiking, camping, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
Tyler Miles

Tyler Miles joined our team in 2023. He was born and raised in the Rogue Valley. He started working with his father in Carpentry at the age of 16 and has been in some form of the business ever since. Tyler loves remodeling and woodworking. He now resides in Gold Hill with his fiancé and 6 children. In his free time, Tyler loves snowboarding, surfing, hunting and spending time with his family.
