In 2020, we did a full remodel of this Ashland open concept studio with full bath, maximizing space, functionality and available height with modern, high-end finishes and appliances.
In 2020 we remodeled this home’s downstairs den / entertainment area with fireplace, big screen TV, wine bar, bold red accent walls and warm wood finishes for a cozy and fun atmosphere.
In 2020 we remodeled this gourmet kitchen with vaulted ceiling, large windows, stainless steel appliances, hammered copper apron front sink, expansive granite counter tops, and adjoining great room with stone fireplace and wood accents throughout.
In 2019 the master bathroom was remodeled. The walls were taken down to the studs and the roof was replaced and vaulted. The floor was raised to make it level with the bedroom floor. Energy efficient windows with rain glass were installed. A new larger door was installed. All wiring and plumbing was replaced. A large bathtub was installed with mosaic tile sides, and hexagonal tile was installed on the shower walls and extended to the top of the vaulted ceiling. The floor was heated and covered with aged wood plank tile. A custom vanity cabinet with custom art glass knobs and pulls and double sinks was installed with black quartz countertop and custom drawers that wrap around the sinks. The backsplash was tiled with glass mosaic tile. A recessed custom medicine cabinet with rain glass was installed in the side wall with an electrical outlet within it. The two mirrors were installed that extend from behind the sinks to the top of the vaulted ceiling.
As a second phase, the underfloor of the house was refurbished. Underfloor plumbing pipes, heating ducts, and insulation were replaced. An on-demand water heater was installed.
In 2019 the main floor of the townhouse was remodeled. The kitchen was reconfigured and two sets of triple-sliding pocket doors were installed to separate the office at the front of the space from the kitchen, and to separate the living room at the back of the space from the kitchen. Maple custom kitchen cabinets with multiple pull-outs, sliding shelves, and Carrara quartz countertops were installed. Smaller scale appliances featuring an induction cooktop and a full-height narrow refrigerator were installed. Custom fir pocket doors with frosted glass were hung. Wide plank hickory flooring was installed. Recessed LED lights and under cabinet LED lights on dimmers were added.
A further phase of the work included rot repairs on the exteriors of all six of the townhouses in the association. New window trim was installed and flashed and waterproofed. Areas of siding were replaced and rot was repaired, roof flashing was added, and gutters were improved and repaired.
“I thought Ben and his crew were very respectful and attentive to our needs and wants for our bathroom remodel. His response time was excellent and was always open to listen to our ideas or answer whatever questions we had. Very professional and trustworthy, I would recommend Ben Treiger to anyone who needs work done to their home. Each member of his team was informed and very thorough with their job. I am so happy to have worked with Ben, and we are so happy with our beautiful, new master bath.”
“We had Ben the Builder organize and complete significant work on our crawlspace, foundation, electrical infrastructure, ducts, drywall, outside siding, plumbing, and drainage. We found them to be friendly, professional, punctual, thorough, and also found that they repeatedly checked with us about the work (making sure they had met/exceeded our expectations). We also found them easy to communicate with, receptive to feedback, and concerned with producing high quality results. During the course of the work, we were forced to add a few parts to the original plan (replacing the wiring was something that was discovered as the foundation and crawlspace were being worked on), and Ben (the owner) was very flexible and easy to work with as we modified our plans. He was also very transparent with the pricing. We will absolutely hire Ben and his team again for future work on our house.”
“We had a great experience with Ben. This was our first experience with a contractor and we were very satisfied with both the work that was done and the bidding process. We had a bathroom remodeled, the project was done within the timeframe that Ben gave us, the project with within budget and the quality of work was excellent. Plus, as we have young children – Ben and his staff were great with them! Very happy with our experience.”
“We live in a good house, and thanks to Ben’s expertise, our favorite spot – out on the deck where we can enjoy the sun and see the mountains — is just amazing. It’s now a lovely, strongly made and private space where we can sit and read, have supper and take a nap. Ben listened to our interests, developed a plan, gave us a competitive quote and brought in quality workers. Best of all, he kept in touch throughout the project and made sure everything was working out the way we wanted and even followed up even after the project was done. Next up, new lighting and new facing on an exterior overhand and then new floors. Ben the Builder is the best.”
