Ashland Mine Road

In 2023 we completed an incredible pool, pool house, changing house, and spiral covered outdoor shower. The homeowners had an amazing vision that we brought to life with our design. The pool is built on a hillside, which resulted in a bench height pool rim on the downhill side and a vertical fountain wall on the uphill side. The pool features a spa, a swim jet, an organic curving shape, and an eight-foot depth.

The pool house is placed directly next to the pool, the side wall rises directly from the water’s edge. A full height window with climbing holds bolted on it allows climbing starting from the water surface. The pool house has a vaulted butterfly roof, many clerestory windows, a sixteen-foot multi panel folding Nanawall door, and a wood stove.

The changing house contains a bathroom, changing room, and mechanical room with vaulted ceilings, clerestory windows, and covered patios. The spiral outdoor shower is a rising spiral concrete wall with a shower at its heart. The shower is shaded with counter sloping shed roofs.
